Kalamaki’s wide, sandy beach with its shallow waters (perfect for children) is a natural extension of tha beach of Laganas. The area, being a reproduction place for the Caretta sea-turtle, is under the protection and supervision of the Greek National Marine Park. The turtles come to the beach every summer to lay their eggs.
